Collaborative Editing Services
Writing coaching is perfect if you’re feeling stuck or discouraged in your writing process, or if you have a lot of good ideas but aren’t sure how best to organize them. My writing coaching package includes regularly scheduled one-hour phone calls (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) to discuss your writing process and progress. Topics can include challenges you are experiencing, such as writer’s block, specific questions about structure and organization, areas you are confused about, etc. I also periodically check-in via email and provide comments on your draft writing.

Developmental editing works best when you have a solid draft of your project but aren’t sure about the structure, content, tone, or flow. I prepare a detailed summary of the manuscript’s strengths and key areas to focus on in your revisions and provide an action plan to guide you as you begin your revisions. I can also offer comments on subsequent drafts.

If you want someone to fine tune your writing to make sure your meaning is coming across clearly and powerfully, line editing is right for you. I provide detailed edits and comments (usually via tracked changes) to improve the clarity and flow of your writing so that readers will immediately grasp what you’re seeking to convey.
